Objective:

To explain in short essays or with diagrams the organization and control of the hypothalamic – pituitary axis, especially the control of thyroid hormones, at the level of 85% proficiency for each student.

 

In order to achieve this objective, you will need to be able to:

  1. Describe the anatomy of the hypothalamic - pituitary axis.
  2. Explain the neural and hormonal control of the hypothalamic - pituitary axis.
  3. Explain the control and action of thyroid hormones.
